Nightlife in Dublin



Dublin has become a real party city over the past decade. It is the city of choice for many famous and infamous rock and film stars and is of course home to U2. Cheaper access has made Dublin a year round capital which has something for all tastes.

The Temple Bar area located in the heart of the city is probably the first port of call for many revelers eager to drink Dublin dry. This area has tones of pubs, clubs and restaurants.

Other good spots include Café en Seine, Zanzibar and O Neills. Dublin pubs, restaurants and clubs are all now totally non- smoking so beware all you smokers. Many pubs do however provide outside smoking areas but the law is very strictly upheld.

The city has gleaned a reputation as a great venue for a stag or hen party. Temple bar is the usual haunt for these groups. Many pubs also provide traditional live music. The city of Dublin is a great place for live bands, theatre and even buskering or street entertainment.

Bars open from 10.30am and late bars are open till after 1.30 am Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. Hope you have a great few nights exploring Dublin's after dark scene. Slainte!
